Our Purpose
is to inform decision makers of the significant environmental, health, business productivity and aesthetic benefits of including live plants in our indoor environments
Green Plants for Green Buildings (GPGB) is in full throttle this month with many projects underway and in the planning phase.
First of all, we have listened to your input regarding the GPGB.org Web site and are working to make it much more user-friendly for both you and your customers. The proposed navigation includes two basic paths for visitors to explore. Green building professionals driven to our site via the U.S. Green Building Council's CEU listings will be invited through the end-user track and will be provided the optimal information on how the use of interior plants will make their job easier and more effective. For professional interiorscapers and allied professionals, the site will offer a rich collection of tried-and-true tips to close more contacts using the GPGB message and tools.
GPGB has strategic prime visibility opportunities around the corner at both the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) World Workplace, October 7-9, 2009, in Orlando Florida, and Ecobuild Ameria, December 8-10, 2009, in Washington, D.C. From handout material to an on-site bookstore presence, we are assuring that our message and our supporters are in the spotlight.
Get up close and personal with GPG on September 20-October 2, 2009, in Las Vegas, Nevada. CalScape will be the spot to be part of the winning effort of GPGB. Come visit our booth and share all that is on your mind about the direction and needs of this industry. We want to hear from you.
CalScape's GPGB cocktail reception, scheduled for Friday, October 2, from 4 p.m. to 5:30p.m., ust after the trade show closes, will afford a rare opportunity to hear from Bodied V. Pennies. An associate professor from the University of Georgia's Department of Horticulture, Dr. Pennies has headed up the potentially groundbreaking Project Carbon study and will present findings and further information on possible implications. As you may already know, the Project Carbon study has been compiling data revealing the true measure of carbon assimilation in office settings. You'll also learn priceless tips from our Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) board liaison, Joe, Zazzera, LEED AP, as well as turnkey tips on how to transform a GPGB CEU presentation into a new contract. You are enthusiastically encouraged to glean all this and a good time at Friday's GPGB cocktail party. It's Vegas so don't forget, anything can happen. Be there.
Please remember, we need your photos. Editors are asking for beautiful installation pictures of your best work to exhibit on the GPGB Web site.
Last but not least, take part in GPGB discussions on the LinkedIn networking site. Go to Groups and search for Green Plants for Green Buildings. You don't have to register to join in.
Thank you for your continued support, and keep us posted on your success stories as well as let us know what the GPGB program can do to help you grow your business.
